EyeLearn is an English practice service for IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL and SAT, made by VisualCamp Co., Ltd. (6F, Jeongseon Building, 13 Dongsan-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea). This page explains what information EyeLearn collects when you use the website and the app at www.eyelearn.me, why, and the choices you have.
Camera and eye tracking
EyeLearn uses your device's camera to follow where your eyes move while you read. The eye tracking (SeeSo by VisualCamp) runs inside your browser. Camera images and video are never uploaded or stored.
What EyeLearn keeps is a record of where your eyes moved on the screen (positions and times), together with the layout of the page you were reading, so that we can show you your reading report and replay how you read.
Information we collect
- Account. When you create an account we keep your email address and a password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us; we use your email address to identify your account.
- Study records. When you are signed in, we save the sets you do, your answers, scores and timings, your study goal and exam date, word review progress, and your eye-movement records, so that you can see them on any device.
- Writing. When you submit a writing task while signed in, we save your text to your account so you can compare it with later attempts. If you ask for writing feedback, your text and the task are sent to Google's Gemini service to create the feedback; the text is not kept by EyeLearn as part of that request, and we only record that a request was made (length, cost and time).
- Speaking. Your speaking recordings stay in your browser for the session so you can listen back. They are not uploaded.
- Usage and errors. We record which screens you open, which sets you start and finish, and errors the app runs into. For this we use a random ID created on your device instead of cookies.
- Emails. If you choose to receive study or news emails, we keep your email preferences and a log of the emails we send, including whether an email was opened.
- Payments. When you buy Pro, the payment is handled by Dodo Payments (see below). We receive and keep the order ID, which pass you bought, when your Pro ends, and whether it was refunded. We never see or keep your card or bank details.
- Problem reports. If you send a problem report, we receive your message, the email address you give (if any), the page you were on, your browser type and a short technical log.
If you use EyeLearn without signing in, your results stay in your browser's storage on that device and are not sent to us.
How we use it
- To run the service: show your results, reading reports and plans, and keep them in your account.
- To send the emails you asked for, and messages needed for your account (for example, confirming your email or resetting your password).
- To understand how EyeLearn is used and to fix problems. Our team can see your account email and how you use EyeLearn (visits, study days and finished sets).
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Services we use
- Supabase — accounts, database and file storage (servers in Singapore).
- Resend — sending emails.
- Google — Google sign-in, and Gemini for writing feedback.
- Dodo Payments — Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for our orders and processes your payment, billing details and tax under its own privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages — hosting the website and the app.
These providers process information only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
- Your account and study records are kept until you delete your account.
- Eye-movement records: we keep your most recent 100 sessions.
- Usage records and problem reports are kept for as long as they are needed to run and improve the service.
Your choices
- Delete your account. In the app, open Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account and the records linked to it are deleted.
- Emails. You can turn study and news emails off with the link at the bottom of every email.
- Camera. EyeLearn asks for camera access before using it, and you can block it in your browser settings at any time.
- This device. You can clear EyeLearn's data in your browser by clearing site data for www.eyelearn.me.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date above.
